Runescape Tip It

Runescape Tip It was the first ever Runescape fan sites established. Tip It was created in 2002 and has quickly grown to be one of the most popular Runescape fan sites, if not the most popular Runescape fan site. Tip it has always been an amazing source of precise information on virtually all Runescape aspects and includes a bestiary, treasure trails information, beginners' guide, quest guides, skill guides, general guides, calculators, skill planners, maps and has one of the most vibrant and active Runescape forums with the tip it forums.

Runescape Tip it Forums

These forums have had quite a history. The original Tip It Forums were called scapeboards and were the largest Runescape forums online until it was shut down by the company hosting the forums dk3. Following scapeboards close tip it was run without a forum for many, many weeks until they created Tip It forums as it today. Whilst the Tip It Forums have once again grown to be one of the largest Runescape forums online it always seems that the Tip It Forums is always having technical difficulties and suffer hacking attempts and people using phpBB exploits. This is probably Tip It’s biggest criticism, the sheer fact that they don’t seem to invest the time into their forums and continue to run the Tip It Forums using the free forum software phpBB which has many exploits and is notorious for being a free alternative to IPB and vBulletin but it is still very inferior to these two previous options.

On the bright side the tip it forums are quite friendly in comparison to some of the other larger Runescape forums. They also tend have less restrictive rules and guidelines that must be adhered to. Though that said this has also helped to create a forum that is somewhat used by users as a meeting place to chat in off topic sections more so than to discuss Runescape related issues.

Runescape Tip It Cons

Well I guess the biggest drawback to the site is sheer amount of advertising that is spammed to its visitors. The site is load with flash banners that are animated as well as having pop ups for both their site and their forums which I think most people would agree are quite annoying.
